Ho Chi Minh City seeks to strengthen cooperation with Russian localities
The Russian October Revolution laid the foundation for the longstanding friendship between Vietnam and Russia. Despite ups and downs of history, the traditional Vietnam-Russia friendship has been strengthened and nurtured by generations, with bilateral ties elevated to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Parliamentary cooperation is an important foundation for promoting Vietnam-Russia cooperation
On the afternoon of November 3rd, at the National Assembly building, Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc, Vice Chairman of the Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-Russia Parliamentary Friendship Group, received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Vietnam, Gennady Bezdetko.
More room for Vietnam-Russia financial cooperation: Russian think-tank
For Russia, the Vietnam International Financial Centre is seen as a new financial lane alongside trade, energy and industry. Vietnam–Russia trade hit 4.77 billion USD in 2025, up 4%, generating demand for payments, bank guarantees, letters of credit, transport insurance and trade finance.
