NA passes law amending 10 laws concerning agriculture, environment

The 10 laws amended cover crop production, plant protection and quarantine, animal husbandry, animal health, fisheries, geology and minerals, water resources, irrigation, meteorology and hydrology, and dikes.
Amendments to bills aim to close loopholes in criminal laws

The amendments to the Penal Code focus on four major areas - revising and supplementing provisions on offences and penalties; revising provisions on grounds for exclusion, postponement and exemption from criminal liability and the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution; and ensuring consistency, feasibility and sound legislative drafting.

The National Assembly (NA) on December 10 voted to adopt the law amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on International Treaties and the NA resolution on special mechanisms and policies aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of Vietnam’s international integration efforts.
